For me, buns are equally important as meat in a burger. That’s why I always take care to have homemade buns, made the way I like them.
We use one part of it straight away and we freeze the rest. If there happens to be any rest. They are equally good when defrosted.

I prefer making everything with natural yeast that I grow at home, but sometimes when I am in a hurry or I have to make bigger amounts of buns, I make these. They are really quick and simple to make and they taste delicious!

For these quick and delicious burgers you will need:
500 g flour
7 g dry yeast
3 tsp sugar
2 tsp salt
1 egg
70 g butter
120 ml warm water
120 ml warm milk
For coating:
1 egg
2 tbsp milk
Sesame

Use all the ingredients to make the dough and knead until soft. It will take about 7 to 8 minutes.
Transfer the dough into a clean bowl and let it double in size. This step usually takes about an hour.
It’s time to shape the buns. I usually make 10 buns about 90 grams each.
Shape the buns with your hands, buns should be evenly round and have a smooth top. Place them in a baking tray.
Cover them with plastic wrap and leave them to rise again, about 45 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 180 deg Celsius.
When buns have risen enough, coat them with egg you’ve whisked with milk. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Bake for about 20 minutes.
